राजस्थान सरकार के कृषि विभाग द्वारा किसानों को प्लास्टिक टनल (लो-टनल) योजना के तहत सब्सिडी प्रदान की जाती है. इस योजना का मुख्य उद्देश्य फसलों को, खासकर सर्दियों में कम तापमान से बचाना और बेमौसमी सब्जियों की खेती को बढ़ावा देना है. लो-टनल एक संरक्षित संरचना है जो कम ऊंचाई पर प्लास्टिक शीट से फसल क्यारियों को ढककर बनाई जाती है, जिससे फसल को प्रतिकूल मौसम, जैसे पाले से बचाया जा सके. यह तकनीक उत्तरी भारत के मैदानी इलाकों में विशेष रूप से उपयोगी है जहां रात का तापमान 8 डिग्री सेल्सियस से नीचे रहता है. इसके तहत किसान बेल वाली सब्जियों को बेमौसम उगाकर अधिक लाभ कमा सकते हैं. योजना के अंतर्गत, सामान्य किसानों को 1000 वर्ग मीटर तक 50% सब्सिडी मिलती है, जबकि छोटे और सीमांत किसानों को 4000 वर्ग मीटर तक 75% सब्सिडी का प्रावधान है. इस योजना का लाभ उठाने के लिए आवेदक को राजस्थान का मूल निवासी होना चाहिए, एक किसान होना चाहिए और उसके पास कृषि भूमि तथा सिंचाई के स्रोत होने चाहिए. आवेदन प्रक्रिया ऑनलाइन है और इसे राज्य सरकार के आधिकारिक पोर्टल के माध्यम से पूरा किया जा सकता है. प्लास्टिक टनल फसलों के लिए एक नियंत्रित वातावरण बनाती है, जिससे पानी की बचत होती है, कीटों और बीमारियों का प्रकोप कम होता है, और फसल की गुणवत्ता व उपज में सुधार होता है.
