ऑपरेशन पोलो 1948 में भारतीय सेना द्वारा चलाया गया एक महत्त्वपूर्ण सैन्य अभियान था जिसका उद्देश्य हैदराबाद रियासत को भारतीय संघ में शामिल करना था। उस समय हैदराबाद के निजाम ने भारत में विलय से इंकार कर दिया था और अलग रहना चाहता था। इस परिस्थिति में भारतीय सरकार ने सेना को हस्तक्षेप का आदेश दिया और केवल पाँच दिनों के भीतर ही भारतीय सेना ने हैदराबाद पर नियंत्रण स्थापित कर लिया। इस पॉडकास्ट एपिसोड में हम जानेंगे कि ऑपरेशन पोलो किस परिस्थिति में शुरू हुआ, इसमें भारतीय सेना की क्या भूमिका रही और इसका परिणाम क्या निकला।

Operation Polo was a major military operation carried out by the Indian Army in 1948 to integrate the princely state of Hyderabad into the Indian Union. At that time, the Nizam of Hyderabad had refused to join India and wanted to remain independent. In response, the Indian government ordered military intervention, and within just five days the Indian Army successfully took control of Hyderabad.
